Pre or post training and racing I have a few favs that are my go to staples for getting me through:
Picky Bars
While these bars have a special place in my heart, they are also truly delicious! With only 200 calories per bar, a 4:1 carb to protein ratio and real food ingredients they are perfect for any training session, pre-race energy or mid-day snack when runger strikes! These bars aren't available in Canada (yet - fingers crossed), but they do ship from the States to Canada.
Nuun Hydration
Nuun hydration products are available at many sport, cycling or running shops and are the perfect balance to your day to keep you hydrated and electrolit! My go to shop is MEC; their customer service is beyond many, they have great quality gear and products, and they are reasonably priced!

Run Gum
It's a "zero calorie, sugar-free energy gum", it tastes great and it works! I love it for really tough races or training sessions, long run days or even days where I just my need my butt kicked! If you're in the States you have to pick some of this up (not available in Canada) or bribe a friend to bring some back for you! It's worth it!
